Villa Montessori School

The new classrooms at Villa Montessori School were designed to complement the residential scale and character of the existing campus and the neighborhood. High ceilings and plenty of windows to allow natural light to fill the space. Each classroom opens onto it’s own outdoor environment with raised planter beds, a garden sink and covered areas.

The new classrooms are part of a multi-phase expansion for Villa Montessori’s central Phoenix campus. Check back soon for additional photos showing the completed project.

Michael Nielson is a dream weaver.  He was able to take our vision and make it come to life!  The design he created for our new buildings was exactly what we wanted for our Montessori school:  non-institutional and highly functional with a definite “wow factor”.  Since our school is located in a residential neighborhood, it was important that the buildings had a residential feel.  Michael created exactly that.  Teachers are thrilled with the floor plans and finishes used for their classrooms.  There is ample square footage, storage and visibility.

Michael is a gifted architect and was very pleasant to work with.  He incorporated feedback from all parties and was very responsive to our needs.  I would recommend him without reservation.
